About Us

soVoz, Inc. is a leading developer of advanced 3D animation technology and tools for next generation gaming, training and simulation applications.  Originally founded to develop high-level 3D simulation authoring tools and technology for interactive training and education applications, soVoz current efforts are focused on the development of "embodied" user interfaces for next generation gaming and training applications in the spirit of the Nintendo Wii.  

Management

soVoz management and key personnel have significant experience developing and bringing to market, technology-oriented, software-based products. 

Dr. Stephen H. Lane, President is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience managing the design, development and commercialization of state-of-the-art software technology for use in interactive entertainment, virtual reality, and distributed training and simulation applications. Dr. Lane has managed projects under contracts with Hasbro, AT&T, Disney, Microsoft, the David Sarnoff Research Center and the U.S. Department of Defense (US Army RDECOM and the Office of Naval Research).  He has done research and development in robotics, control theory, artificial intelligence and advanced computer interfaces and has authored or co-authored over 30 technical conference and journal publications on such topics.  Dr. Lane’s responsibilities have ranged from basic technology development to computer hardware and software design, project management and business development. Dr. Lane is also an Adjunct Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Pennsylvania and Director of the Computer Graphics and Game Technology (CGGT) Masters program. Dr. Lane teaches courses in Computer Animation, Advanced Topics in Graphics and Animation and Computer Game Design and Development. 

Dr. Lane received a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, a Masters of Science Degree in Systems Engineering from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University.
